Welcome to my little blog! I use it as a place to write, share thoughts and pictures, and remind myself of all the happy things in life. Previously, I lived in Portland, Oregon and sewed a lot of my own clothes.

In August 2011 my husband and I made the move to Amsterdam where he is studying and I am eating a lot of french fries and gouda.

I love bicycling, cooking, learning, traveling, seeing new things, and creating, and I’m thrilled to be able to do all these in a new corner of the world.

I like…good cheese. A mustardy yellow sort of color. Stop-motion animation.  Wearing boots. Wearing hats. Stories. Making things. Gummy worms.

My favorite places are… San Francisco, California. Moab, Utah. Carhenge, Nebraska. Prague, Czech Republic. Cinque Terra, Italy. The Oregon Coast. The Rocky Mountains. Portland, Oregon. And, of course, Amsterdam.

I dream of… owning goats to make my own cheese. Living around the world and riding my bike everywhere. Becoming an expert on something. Speaking five languages. Writing a book. Sewing more of my clothes.
